PHYSIOLOGY: This product is designed to relieve the bleeding and pain of hemorrhoids through its astringent and vascular strengthening qualities. The main ingredient contributing to the astringent effect is Collinsonia Root. See "General Information on Herbs" under Flexaplex #K442 Relevant characteristics of the other major medicinal herbs contained in Hemorro-H are as follows: Comfrey: demulcent, astringent, vulnerary, anodyne, emollient, hemostatic, refrigerant Golden seal: tonic, alterative, detergent, aperient, antiseptic, astringent, deobstruent, antiperiodic Bayberry Bark: stimulant, astringent, diaphoretic, expectorant.
INDICATIONS: This product is recommended in all cases of hemorrhoids, other rectal problems, varicose veins, and other varicosities. Livatrate #K982 is valuable in lessening portal pressure, and hot sitz baths are helpful with subsequent application of E-Complex #K427 oil over the affected area Note: All heavy stimulating foods should be avoided, especially refined carbohydrates and meats. Tobacco and alcohol should also be avoided, as should roughage. A simple fruit or alkaline diet speeds recovery.
DOSAGE: 2 capsules morning and evening with a full 8-ounce glass of water.
