PHYSIOLOGY: Bromelain has been found in laboratory experimentation to appear in the blood stream in its active form after administration of the enzyme preparation by mouth. Therefore, physicians have found it to be useful in dissolving cellular debris. Such matter includes the protein capsule around diseased cells and fragments of cells produced by edema. Consequently, inflamed joints (arthritis, bruises, athletic trauma) respond to bromelain therapy. Papain is added to provide an additional source of proteolytic enzymes. Thymus and spleen have been included to provide support for the body's immune system, to clear away the digested debris, and to aid in reusing cellular components. According to Hans Nieper, M.D., of Germany, Bromelain acts like a pipe cleaner for the arteries.
INDICATIONS: Generally, use of this product is indicated where an anti-inflammatory agent is desired.
USEFUL IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: Arthritis, lower back pain, Athletic injuries, Atherosclerosis, Infections, Inflammations, Edema, Slow healing, Tooth extractions (dry socket).
